Millican
Built in the 1840s by Alexander and Clementine Millican, the Millican Cabin originally stood about one mile east of Omega, Illinois. The cabin reflects the story of a family that migrated west and established a new home in south-central Illinois.

History of the Millican Cabin
The Millican Cabin was built during the 1840s by Alexander and Clementine Millican. Before being moved to Kinmundy Log Cabin Village, the cabin stood approximately one mile east of Omega, Illinois.
Alexander Millican was born in Massachusetts on April 7, 1817. He later traveled west through Ohio, where he married Clementine Atalia Earl on September 21, 1843, in Portage County.
After settling in Illinois, Alexander and Clementine raised six children: Maria Eliza, Robert Jacob, William, Henry Filmore, Amanda, and Charles Lee.
The cabin is preserved at Kinmundy Log Cabin Village as part of the story of families who migrated west and established homes in rural Illinois during the 19th century.
